At first glance, the paintings are distinguished by a vibrant palette, an unlikely marriage of opaque and tonal values, however, beneath the image, lies a narrative, something deeper than paint and substrate. My work bends towards a somewhat imprecise pursuit to understand the nature of change, whether it be human or the natural world, a marriage of material and abstraction.
